QCS Impartiality Policy
QCS understands the importance of impartiality in carrying out our management system certification activities manages any conflict of interests and ensures the objectivity of our management system certification activities.
Impartiality Management Process:
QCS Management is committed to impartiality in management system certification being done for its entire range of certification activities.QCS shall be responsible for the impartiality of its conformity assessment activities and shall not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to compromise impartiality. Conflict of Interest situations have been analysed in details by considering any relationships of the Directors and decision makers. QCS have a impartiality policy communicated & published through website – www.qcspl.com.
Analysis of conflict of interest is reported to MD/CEO and discussed in details in the management review meeting (Once in 12 months or earlier as per the needs).
This analysis covers all the operations within the QCS, related auditors, associates, consultants, clients and other organisations (Training, consultancy, inspection-product certification activities, Banks and other financial resources etc).

QCS will not provide certification services for their own group companies Only freelancers Business Associate are linked with QCS. Their services is restricted and limited to marketing only. A detailed risk analysis is done in Annex – 17 to avoid any conflict of Interest. BA will not do any audit for QCS (Annexure 36 – Procedure for adding new office location & countries)
MD/QM shall review any residual risk to determine if it is within the level of acceptable risk.
The risk assessment process shall include identification of and consultation with appropriate interested parties to advice on matters affecting impartiality including openness and public perception. The consultation with appropriate interested parties shall be balanced with no single interest predominating
QCS will not certify the quality management systems of another Certification Body.
QCS as a same legal entity and any entity under the organizational control of QCS of its part will not be providing consultancy services
QCS and any of its part (any group co) will not provide Internal auditing services.
QCS will also not certify the management system of any organisation within 2 years where they have provided internal audit services.
QCS shall not certify a management system on which a client has received management system consultancy or internal audits, where the relationship between the consultancy organization and the certification body poses an unacceptable threat to the impartiality of the certification body.
QCS does not outsource audits to a management consultancy organisation
QCS does not market certification services along with any consultancy organisation, also no claim or statement is made for the certification to be simpler, easier, faster, and less expensive if any particular consultancy organisation is used for the purpose of consultancy. QCS will take appropriate actions and follow its auditing and certification process if any consultants claim QCS services to be simpler, easier, faster, less expensive etc.
QCS ensures that personnel who have provided management system consultancy including those acting in a managerial capacity, shall not be allowed take part in an audit or other certification activities if they have been involved in management system consultancy towards the client in question within two years following the end of the consultancy. QCS ensures the same via Conflict of Interest & Confidentiality Agreement (QCS/COI/02/F) signed by the auditors for every organization audited by them separately.
QCS shall take action to respond to any threats to its impartiality arising from the actions of other persons, bodies or organizations during its management system certification process.
QCS ensures that all certification body personnel, either internal (auditors, staff) or external (empanelled auditors, consultants), who could influence the certification activities, shall act impartially and shall not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to compromise impartiality. However any Commercial, Financial or other pressures effecting Senior Executive, Staff and other people involved in the certification activity is monitored by the Monthly Review Meeting for all the certificates issued and contracts finalised.
QCS will gather information which may cause threat to impartiality from all personnel- internal and external persons and this information will be used in the conflict of interest analysis.
And such persons will not be used in the certification process and their activities will be monitored and will require further information (If needs to be used) so that there is no conflict of interest.
