ISO 45001: 2018  Management System Certification

Your trusted partner for Occupational Health and Safety

The ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health & safety Management system standard was published on March2018.  Organizations are granted a three-year transition period from that date to comply with the requirements of the  new standard. This means that beyond March 2021, a certificate based on BS OHSAS 18001: 2007  will no longer be valid.

Your challenges

Forward-thinking organisations that value employees understand the need to identify and control health and safety hazards in the workplace. Injuries or illnesses at work can be costly to your company in terms of lost productivity, medical expenses and reputational damage.

In addition, there are strict legal requirements for occupational health and safety (OH&S) in every region where your business operates. For all these reasons, you need to manage and safeguard your human resources while clearly communicating your OH&S commitments to all stakeholders.

What is OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001?

The OHSAS 18001/ISO45001  Certification Scheme is an OH&S standard. It is designed to enable organisations to control risks and improve performance in the area of OH&S. OHSAS 18001/ISO45001  places a proactive and preventative emphasis on risk-control factors by identifying and assessing the likelihood and severity of hazards in the workplace.

Why is OHSAS 18001/ISO45001  important for your business?

OHSAS 18001 is an essential management system for your business, along with quality, environment and other management systems. It will help your company reduce direct and indirect costs while preventing injuries in the workplace. By conforming to OHSAS 18001/ISO45001 , your company safeguards its stakeholders – employees, suppliers and customers – from risk.Third-party certification will credibly demonstrate your organisation’s implementation of a comprehensive system for ensuring health and safety in the workplace.
